Jordyn Loro is a Registered Nurse Psychotherapist with over a decade of experience in various mental health care settings, including hospitals, community and home-based care, group and transitional care homes, and virtual care.

Since beginning my nursing career in 2011, I have explored numerous specialties to find the area that best aligned with my skills and passion for helping people live their best lives. Over time, I found the traditional healthcare system frustrating and limiting for both myself and my patients. Too often, it felt like we were addressing surface-level issues with quick fixes rather than getting to the root of the problems. This approach left both myself and my patients struggling through the day-to-day without real, lasting solutions. The limitations of this system began to take a significant toll on me, so I decided to pursue a different path.

I strive to build a therapeutic relationship where my clients feel truly heard, seen, and valued as the multifaceted and unique individuals they are—not just as their current diagnosis or health experience. Thanks to my extensive nursing background, I deeply understand how every aspect of life contributes to health and well-being. I recognize that mental and physical health are not black-and-white concepts; they exist in a complex, interwoven “grey area” influenced by countless factors, both within and beyond our control.

In my independent therapy practice, I use a range of evidence-based approaches to tailor each client’s experience. My goal is to ensure that every client has access to the tools and strategies that work best for their unique needs and circumstances.
